Bilevel optimization is a powerful framework for modelling problems that involve two levels of decision making within a hierarchical structure. Each decision maker controls their own decision variables and seeks to optimize their own objective functions while meeting certain constraints. The intrinsic nonconvex nature of bilevel problems poses significant computational challenges. In addition, other issues appear when additional factors are present, such as the existence of multiple optima to the lower level problem or the presence of multiple followers. This research explores the tractability of these issues by using multiobjective optimization techniques, thus providing useful insights about potential solution approaches and their implications.
