Classrooms
All classrooms are equipped with computers that support PDF and PowerPoint file readers. Presentations must be in PDF or PowerPoint format, brought on a device with a USB port, and presented using the classroom computer.
It is essential that presentations are uploaded to the classroom computer in advance of the session start.
Speakers
Speakers can find their assigned classroom using the maps provided (available on the website).
The duration of sessions is a multiple of 20 minutes. For example, in an 80-minute session with 4 presentations, it is recommended to prepare talks of 15–17 minutes, allowing time for questions and transitions.
If there are fewer than 4 presentations in an 80-minute session, it is advisable to divide the time among speakers, leaving 3–5 minutes for questions and transitions. In any case, the moderator will allocate the available time.
In invited sessions organized by SEIO working groups, moderators will assign time slots based on the group coordinator's guidelines. A minimum presentation time of 20 minutes (including questions) will always be respected.
Presentations must be uploaded to the classroom computer before the session begins, preferably during the preceding break.
All conference attendees will have Wi-Fi access at the venue (La Llotja).
Moderators
Moderators are responsible for ensuring sessions start and end on time and for maintaining the presentation order as per the official program.
If a speaker is absent, the schedule must still be followed to ensure smooth transitions between sessions. Moderators must report any absences or issues to the organizers. If no moderator is present, the first speaker will assume the role.
Before the session starts, moderators must ensure that all presentations are properly uploaded to the classroom computer. During the session, they should inform speakers when they have 5 minutes and 1 minute remaining.
