Rules for invited sessions
Invited sessions are (parallel) sessions focused on a topic or issue of interest within the scope of this congress. The organization of these sessions is the responsibility of the session organizer, who will be in charge of coordinating and recruiting participants according to the following instructions:
- The Session Organizer must be a member of SEIO. The deadline to submit a proposal is from November 1 to December 23, 2024.
- Each invited session will include four or five oral presentations, with different speakers from at least three different institutions.
- A researcher may propose only one invited session. A session can eventually be organized by two researchers, but neither of them may organize another session.
- The speakers in an invited session must register for the XLI National Congress of Statistics and Operations Research by 05/31/2025. Otherwise, those who register after this date will be included in other parallel sessions.
- The Organizer of the invited session will moderate the session and determine the order of the presentations.
- If an invited session includes a speaker who does not speak Spanish, the session may be conducted partially or entirely in English.
- Each proposal must include a title for the session, as well as a list of authors and tentative titles of the presentations included.
- The Scientific Committee of the XLI National Congress of Statistics and Operations Research will be responsible for approving an invited session.
- Once the invited session is approved, each speaker must register and submit their own paper through the general procedure in the Private Area.
- Proposals should be submitted through the congress website, from the proponent’s account (created after pre-registration) via the Submit Invited Session Proposal menu.
