Mathematical modeling in dynamical systems through two-sex branching processes
In this talk we will focus on dynamical systems, especially in biology and natural sciences, with sexual reproduction in which females and males coexist, mate in female-male couples, reproduce and die. Different methodologies have been developed to describe the demographic dynamics of such systems. We will consider the methodology based on two-sex branching processes. First, we will provide a brief overview of some research lines, based on discrete-time two-sex branching processes, that we have been studying in recent years. Then, we will discuss some results related to our latest investigations on the class of two-sex branching processes with mating and reproduction in non-predictable environments. As an illustration, we will present some simulated studies contextualized in semelparous biological species.
